Update: 3/25/2020 Effective immediately, in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, all Lincoln County playgrounds and park restrooms are closed until further notice. The parks, green spaces, and trails will remain open at this time. When visiting the parks, please continue to follow social distancing of at least 6 ft. and avoid contact with others.
Due to COVID-19 coronavirus, Lincoln County Parks and Recreation will be canceling all senior programs, activities, day camps and classes until further notice. This includes activities and programs held at East Lincoln Community Center, Lincoln County Senior Games events and at the Lincoln County Senior Center.
This includes exercise/dance classes, senior social events, senior trips, Bingo/Bunco, indoor walking, pickleball, senior basketball and Senior Games practices/events.
The East Lincoln Community Center in Denver is closed until further notice. This includes all activities, classes, group meetings, and athletic events. Our Spring Break Day Camp is also cancelled for April.
We encourage our senior participants to follow information provided by the CDC and the Lincoln County Health Department regarding potential risk.
Also, due to the public health impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus, effectively immediately, all Lincoln County Parks and Recreation athletic fields are closed for practice and use until further notice. We appreciate our teams and community's patience during this time.

2020 Lincoln County Senior Games

Registration for the 2020 Lincoln County Senior Games opens on Friday January 31st. Registration packets are available below or you can also pick up a paper copy at the Lincoln County Parks and Recreation Office in Lincolnton, the East Lincoln Community Center in Denver and the Lincoln County Senior Center in Lincolnton. Completed registration forms can be returned to any of these locations and are due by March 2nd.  Early bird registration is just $10!

2020 LC Senior Games Registration Packet

Our Registration Kickoff event will take place on Friday January 31st at the Lincoln County Senior Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come try out a few new events and get registered.  If you have participated before, we want you to help spread the word so invite your friends and family to come to the Kickoff event with you so they can register too!

Splash Pads Information
The splash pads are now closed and will reopen for the 2020 season on Memorial Day, May 25th, 2020.

Park Shelter Reservation Update
Park Shelter reservations for 2020 are now open.  Half day shelter reservations are $50 and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Full day reservations are $100 and from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Shelter reservations for 2019 are now open. This includes shelter reservations for West Lincoln Park, Beatty's Ford Park, Rock Springs Nature Preserve, and Rescue Squad Park. Please contact our Parks and Recreation office at 704-748-1518 to book your reservation or download the reservation forms here on our Parks and Recreation page.

Parks and Recreation Offices Have Moved
The office for the Parks and Recreation Department has moved to 206 Gamble Drive, 1st Floor (with Veterans Admin Office), located next to the old hospital in Lincolnton. People needing to book park shelters, pick up keys for reservations, or any need other Parks and Recreation info, should come to the new office. 

Lincoln County Sports Hall of Fame Nominations are now open!
The Lincoln County Sports Hall of Fame is now accepting applications for the Class of 2020.  Nomination forms must be submitted by mail to PO Box 25, Lincolnton, NC 28093 by March 1st each year.  You can download a nomination form from the link below or pick one up at the Lincoln County Parks and Recreation office in Lincolnton.
